➤ Sensorineural hearing loss
Sensorineural hearing loss is occurs when the inner ear nerves and hair cells are damaged. This impacts the pathways from your inner ear to your brain and can be treated and helped with the use of hearing aids.

➤ Conductive hearing loss
Conductive hearing loss is typically the result of obstructions in the outer or middle ear — perhaps due to fluid, earwax or ear formation. This obstruction prevents sound from getting to the inner ear and can often be treated surgically or with medicine.

➤ Mixed hearing loss
Mixed hearing loss is a combination of sensorineural and conductive hearing loss.

➤ Mild hearing loss - Range from 25 dB to 40 dB HL.
➤ Moderate hearing loss – Range from 41 dB and 55 dB HL.
➤ Moderately severe hearing loss- Range from 56 dB to 70 dB HL
➤ Severe hearing loss – Range from 71 dB to 90 dB HL.
➤ Profound hearing loss – Range from 90 dB HL or more.
